About Me
I’ve always been an artist and a writer at heart.
In Kindergarten, I was the kid at the bus stop getting lost in the beauty of the light filtering through the trees while the other kids were talking about cartoons. In high school, everyone assumed I’d go to college for art, but I let one too many well-intentioned people tell me that art wasn’t a “real career,” and I pivoted into business instead.
In my 20’s, I managed multi-million dollar retail businesses during the day. At night, I’d grab a charcoal pencil and bring fantastic creations to life in stained overalls and a red bandana. I didn’t realize it then, but those two worlds, high-pressure business management and deeply personal creativity, were quietly shaping the foundation of my future career.
I was happy balancing work and creativity like this for awhile. And then, everything changed.
When my first son was born, he arrived limp and blue, and in an instant, my life turned upside down.
District stores, corporate ladders, and everything that once felt urgent fell away. My world became his recovery—therapy appointments, seizure tracking, behavior plans, and learning how to advocate fiercely and patiently at the same time.
Motherhood cracked me open in a way nothing else ever had. It taught me perspective, resilience, and what really matters. It changed how I saw myself and how I interacted with the people around me. It made me a different, stronger, more grounded person.
As my family grew and I eventually welcomed two more children, I found myself needing a new path—one that allowed me to be present at home without abandoning the creative and strategic parts of myself I’d spent years developing. That’s when everything clicked.
The digital world was rapidly expanding at that time. Brands were no longer just logos or taglines; they were stories, emotions, experiences, and communities. Suddenly, all the pieces of my life—my management background, my creative instincts, my love of people, my ability to see potential and shape it—all fell into place.
I stepped fully into brand building.
Over the last fifteen years, I’ve had the privilege of helping shape brands in a way that blends heart and strategy. I’ve gravitated towards work that has helped, uplifted, and made people’s lives better in some way.
Over my career I’ve learned this: A brand is not what a company says—it’s how a company shows up. It’s consistency, honesty, humanity, and the belief that brands can genuinely make people’s life better in some way. When you maintain the reason and good intention behind the brand, it can’t help but grow.
